The SEED

Did you know that the word 'seed' is mentioned over 200 times in the Bible(KJV)?

SEED. Used in the Bible to describe the 'sowing and reaping' kingdom mentality to the Jewish farmers.

Passages shared (Acts 4:32-35 / Acts 6:1-4 / Acts 5:12-16, 42 )

" 12Meanwhile, the apostles were performing many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And the believers were meeting regularly at the Temple in the area known as Solomon's Colonnade. 13No one else dared to join them, though everyone had high regard for them. 14And more and more people believed and were brought to the Lord--crowds of both men and women. 15As a result of the apostles' work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter's shadow might fall across some of them as he went by. 16Crowds came in from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all healed."

The impact of the church on the community as seen in Acts, alive... What is MY impact on my community today? Am I planting seeds, of hope, to people who have hope deferred? Do I cherish seeds of 'care', or 'love', for my friends and family? Shall I plant a seed of 'peace', in office conflicts, where I can?

Let's give 'seeds' of encouragement to others in our community. People who need to hear the word of God again in their lives. People having exams, just blessing them with a verse. Others, in different cells, that we can encourage by giving this 'seed' to them, knowing that this is a care act in itself.

TODAY, commit to plant 5 seeds in our community.
"Do not open until Jan 01 2006."

Two months later, we will see if it grows. =)
