Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
Psalm 107:1 (NIV)
Origin of Thanksgiving: fourth Thursday in November in the United States; second Monday in October in Canada; commemorates a feast held in 1621 by the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag.
Nevermind that thanksgiving is a holiday observed in America. Thanksgiving is relevant in our daily lives because 1 The.5:18: "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
My dear brothers and sisters, wasn't it a great time of reflecting on God's goodness and at the same time encouraging one another through it? I was personally encouraged that God is so real in your lives. Isn't it amazing for some of us that after life's storms, we saw God's light and purpose and emerged as more than conquerors in Christ? I know that we have become stronger and having ever-increasing faith. May I also exhort you not to stop telling the world that Jesus lives, therefore "go home and tell them how much the Lord has done for you"- MARK 5:19. Tell the world that Jesus live in you!
Therefore let thanksgiving be unceasing for the rest of the days of our lives, as we regconize that all good and perfect gifts comes from God alone!
